Powerful Parent Advocates - offers guidance, coaching and support for parents whose children are struggling in school or facing special needs such as autism, ADD, or other learning or behavioral challenges. With increased knowledge and clarity, parents are empowered to be their child's best resource.
As the founder of Powerful Parent Advocates, I am a passionate advocate for parents of special needs kids. Having experienced firsthand the overwhelming burden, fear and constant worry that confront parents after receiving a devastating diagnosis, label, or report about their child; I know how challenging it can be to navigate the world of special education in our schools and the myriad of therapeutic choices available through private providers.
I offer clients compassionate listening skills, supportive inquiry-based coaching, a technical understanding of the special education environment, and a collaborative advocacy approach for prioritizing and obtaining the services your child needs. I believe that parents, who keep hope alive, know their children’s strengths and needs, and work collaboratively with school and private providers to come up with the right action plan for their child, can achieve great things. I have felt the joy and empowerment that come when parental advocacy works and children get the services and support they need to reach their full potential. As your coach, my goal is to help you find it too.
